My MSc research project at Jodrell Bank was entitled ``Proper Motions of Knots in the Virgo A Jet''. I reduced, imaged and calibrated MERLIN data from three different epochs and used the images to look for proper motions. This was performed using the AIPS package. Also, whilst at Jodrell I did some VLBI observing.
I have had several successful observing proposals on optical and infrared telescopes around the world. These include UKIRT, where I have experience with IRCAM3 and UFTI cameras and the CGS4 spectograph. I also have experience using the 2m KPNO with the IRIM infrared camera. I have had several observing runs on the JKT for both broad band and narrow band imaging of galaxies. I am experienced in Near-IR data reduction, imaging, photometry and spectroscopy of spiral galaxies, using the STARLINK KAPPA, FIGARO and RGASP packages and IRAF and also using my own programs written in Fortran 77. During My time at the Space Telescope Science Institute and The University of Ghent, I have become experienced in the reduction of HST WFPC2 and NICMOS data, using the IRAF STDAS and TINY TIM packages and my own Fortran 77 codes. Most of my experience lies in near-infrared observations and data reduction with some epxerience in optical observations and data reduction with some experience in optical techniques also.
